  • From 1981 since 1988 had a basic participation in all the junior
  • teams of PAOK with the top of it the Greek Championship at 1985.
  • From 1988 since 1994 I played in small categories teams.
 Coaching Career
In 1988 started as a coach in junior teams of PAOK and was also responsible of the team academies.
Since 1995 was a member of the technical team (assistant coach) of the first team of PAOK. At first I cooperated with
Mr. Lukaits (Serbia) - with Mr. Gomez (France) - with Mr. Skiles (USA, later head coach of Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Buck) - with Mr. Svi Sherf (Israel) - and finally with Mr. Skansi (Croatia).
As an assistant he played to the final of European Cup in Vitoria.
Taking over as a head coach of PAOK the first season he conquered the Greek Cup.
At my second season he lead PAOK to the finals of the Greek Championship after disqualifying Olympiakos which considered a big surprise in Greece and played against the European Champion PANATHINAIKOS.
He coached as a head coach for 3 consecutive seasons in Euroleague with very good results such as big wins against Barcelona in Spain, Kinder Bologna, Maccabi and a lot of others.
He was chosen as coach of the year and participated in the Greek
ALL STAR GAME. He is the second coach in the history of PAOK with the most games as a head coach.
During his service in PAOK he established Gianis Gianoulis(National team player) as a basic and pushed the 16 year old Vasiliadis and Apostolidis to the first team with few minutes participation. Also during his service in Panellinios he established Andreas Gliniadakis (Olympiakos).
He has also worked as head coach in Panellinios (A2) where he led the team to the second position of their Championship and also to the final four of the Greek Cup (another big surprise for Greece).
  • 2004 - 2005 Head Coach of Acropol in Sweden leading the team with the lowest by far budget of the league (at its second season in the league) to the semi-finals something that considered to be the biggest surprise in the history of Swedish basketball (according to Eurobasket) .
  • 2005 - 2006 Head Coach of Keravnos in Cyprus leading the team in first place in the regular season, and also winning the Cyprus Cup.
  • 2006 - 2007 Head Coach of Makedonikos in Greece and left the club due to financial reasons.
  • The remainder of the season 2006-2007 signed with Polpak in Poland and took the club from 11th place to 6th place and to qualify for the play-offs.
  • 2007-2008 took over PAOK in Greece last with one win on December and left the club due to financial reasons with 7-8 (record that kept the team in the league).

  • 2010-2011 Head Coach of Ilysiakos Athens where he was able to keep the Team in A-1 division despite the fact they had the smallest-ever- budget(250.000 euros) in the league and the terrible start 0-8. (took over late November as i was in USA for the training camps of Bucks, Bulls and Raptors) 9 wins all with over 10 p and the most of the losses at the last sec.(including Olympiakos on the road).the team was the 4th in the standings of the second round.(3rd de - 5th off - 5th ass etc)

  • 2016-2017 joined pre-season training camp of the Golden State Warriors (NBA) in September 2016; had offers from Greek Clubs afterwards, but didnt accept them as the Club's situation didn't fulfill own expectations; worked on games and tactics and was invited as commentator for Euroleague, Champions League and Greek League games.
  • 2017-2018 Head Coach of Astana BC, Kazakhstan. Won bronze medal in Asia Champions Cup for the first time in the history of Kazak's basketball.

From the season 2005 until 2009, was the Head Coach of the Swedish National team.Won Nordic championship-Baltic League.

 Seminars
Since 1990 I participate in all the coaching seminars inside and out of Greece. The summer of 2001 I was assistant coach of Milwaukee Bucks next to George Carl at the summer league, after an invitation I received from the NBA team. I was also a head coach at the summer league of Treviso the same year as well as 2003. I worked as a scouter for Denver Nuggets. Finally since 2003 I have taught at Greek academies of coaches, as well as clinics.
